Chapter 9 Update

My wrist troubles are mostly a thing of the past for the time being, which is a relief, but they're still not 100%. Because of that and because I had a hectic day that had me working on a dozen other things, I'm going to give them another rest tonight and finish Chapter 9 off tomorrow. I'll also get back to doing my chapter collections.

In the meantime, here's a set of links to the parts I've done so far:

Wrist Troubles

Due to unforeseen pain from my carpal tunnel syndrome, no update tonight. I'll brace it up and get back to it tomorrow. Sorry everyone; don't let anybody tell you the writer's life is one of ease and leisure.

The Price of Entanglement - Chapter 1

I've heard from some readers that they'd be more inclined to read along as I write if they could read in longer chunks than the ones I post on a daily basis, so I've started doing chapter summaries. Here's the first one!

Theming & Consistency Checking Night

Tonight's been another of those nights when I haven't gotten a whole lot of fiction written; instead I've been going over The Price of Entanglement for consistency and theme and making notes on things I need to address with the characters going forward. This seemed like such a simple story when I started writing it. It's funny how they can take on a life of their own after a while, isn't it?

Robert J. Sawyer Workshop

Today I had an awesome experience at Robert J. Sawyer's "A Thematic Approach to Science Fiction" workshop. I'm still processing everything I took in, so the next update to The Price of Entanglement is tomorrow.

I'd fully intended to take pictures and post a bunch of stuff about this, but it was such a good experience that I was sucked in and thinking the whole time, which didn't leave me any time for stray thoughts like snapping pictures.

If you're into writing at all and you ever get the chance to attend one of his workshops or lectures, do it. Rob's a charismatic and funny speaker with a wealth of knowledge to share. I highly recommend it.
